Shirley has been a freelance writer more or less since 1992, although she's been in print in some form or another since 1970, including an "around town" (gossip) column in a small, weekly newspaper for a few years. With a fresh start in life in 1992, she's been published in several local, regional, and national magazines and has one published novel and one self-published children's book which was a joint project with her husband Chuck. [He's my awesome resident artist.]
Shirley is the proud mom of two sons and their spouses, one fabulous grandson who's a TV star and his beautiful RN wife, a granddaughter and another grandson who seem to have disappeared from the face of the earth, and three loving, special step-daughters and their beloved families--including three lively boys.
Shirley is an avid reader with a wide range of interests, a novice needlepointer, daydreaming fly fisherwoman, wannabe gardener, and slightly decrepit hiker who still thinks she's going backpack to Sperry Chalet in Glacier National Park some day and spend a few days watching the bears.
